BRINGING A THEMED FOOD COURT DESIGN TO VIBRANT LIFE IN ONLY EIGHT WEEKS: The Killington Ski Resort food court servery was an extremely tired facility, in a cramped, claustrophobic space, with the serving line in the centre of the room. In this full design/build, 3DS transformed the cafeteria by turning it inside out, arranging kiosks around the periphery. With the servery now open & spacious, customer traffic flow happens naturally, rather than in one single direction.
Decorative Signage
With a somewhat more sophisticated clientele, the design objective in this case was definitely not for the more traditional “Vermont ski lodge look”. Instead, a more polished approach was taken, involving powerful color elements including vivid red tile, along with textured rock, stone tile walls and strongly decorative signage & menus. 3DS brought this cafeteria from concept to installation in a very short time period of only eight weeks. The client was extremely pleased with both the new facility and with the resulting sales increase.
